DRIVE THROUGH PALLET RACKS

DRIVE THROUGH PALLET RACKS

Quantity

Drive-through pallet racking is a high-density storage system designed for warehouses that need to maximize pallet capacity while minimizing aisle space. Unlike selective racking, drive-through racks allow forklifts to enter the rack structure from one side and travel through continuous storage lanes to load or retrieve pallets, eliminating the need for individual aisles between every row.

Key Features:

  • High-Density Storage – Pallets are stored several deep and multiple levels high, significantly increasing storage capacity within the same footprint.
  • Single Entry Point – Forklifts drive directly into the lane from one end (LIFO – Last In, First Out), making it ideal for storing large quantities of the same SKU.
  • Space Optimization – Reduces the number of aisles required, freeing up valuable floor space for additional storage or operations.
  • Rail-Supported System – Pallets rest on continuous rails running the depth of the rack, rather than on individual beams per pallet position.
  • Heavy-Duty Construction – Built from structural or roll-formed steel to withstand the constant load and forklift traffic within the lanes.

Ideal Applications:
Drive-through racking works best for businesses handling bulk quantities of uniform products, such as cold storage facilities, food and beverage distributors, and manufacturers with limited SKU variety but high-volume storage needs.
